Publish

Publishing takes a snapshot of your draft and puts that snapshot to work. From then on, every place your assistant lives is running the snapshot — not whatever you happen to be editing.

Before you can publish

You need an account. Everything up to this point works as a guest; publishing is where Toldo needs to know whose assistant this is.

Your assistant also has to be finished enough. All five checks must be done:

1. Has a name
2. Knows what it is for
3. Has at least one job
4. Knows your facts
5. Knows when to hand over to you

If any are missing, publishing is refused and the message names the ones still open, so there is never a guessing game about what is left.

Draft and live, side by side

After the first publish you have two versions of your assistant at once:

• The published version — what customers are talking to.
• Your draft — where every edit lands.

Carry on chatting with the builder as much as you like. Your assistant’s page marks that there are unpublished changes, and nothing you do reaches customers until you publish again. Each publish makes a new numbered version.

The share link

Once your assistant is live it has its own link. Anyone with that link can chat with it — no account, no sign-in, nothing to install. That link is also what the website bubble opens, and what you would send someone to test something for you.

Pausing

Pause stops your assistant replying everywhere it lives, without deleting anything. Your facts, documents, conversations and collected details all stay exactly as they were. Resume puts the same published version straight back.

Pause is the right move when something is wrong and you need a minute — it is quicker and safer than trying to fix a live assistant in front of customers.

Deleting

Deleting an assistant removes it, its conversations and its collected details. If an assistant is shared with a team, deleting it takes either the person who made it or one of that team’s owners.
